The Cardinal came to Honolulu to play in a tournament including North Carolina and Prairie View A&M. The team practiced Thanksgiving day and then sat down for a dinner with the host team, the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine. In this view, the UNC tables are closest. After the meal, the four coaches each said a few nice words. Applause for Sylvia Hatchell was particularly strong as she is just back to work after a year off for treatment for leukemia.
